Rich in amino acids, Salmon seem to have the added benefit of preventing bloodclots. You can also get Salmon in preservable cans that you can saute with onions to consume with rice.
The data is purely based on what I have read and hence mainly apocryphal. Now add my typos to that before trusting any of this
That this can not occur with out attention has implications. If a skill becomes so routine you do it on autopilot, practicing it will no longer change the brain
Like a diamond that is forged out of pressure, difficulty seem to be the seat of brain empowerment or transformation

As one may have anticipated, there may be differences in how we digest different types of calories resulting in a net calories being less than what we have evaluated them to be when taking in. Some of the factors appears to be whether they are cooked or not, cell structure of the food (which could get soft and lost during cooking), what kind of microbes are in your gut etc.

With my fickle mental constitution, I am glad I grew up in less wealthier and needier times, where by necessity I have chanced into some habits that are proving to be valuable. My kids just won't touch this concoction. It is a broth that is just "yucky" everytime they see it and never fail to be mentioned. I am not sure if I would try it if I had not been used to it. You won't call someone half of whose wardrobe contains white shirts adventurous. Half my shirts are white. However, those that are healthy-nuts and wrestle life, here is a tradition perhaps you might grow to like.
A simple recipe that worked quite well for cooking canned royal red salmon. It is full of fish oils and tastes pretty good too.

2 to 3 large onions, sweeter the better 1 potato A can of peas and carrots half a can of tomato sauce hot water Oil and south indian condiments
If you know south indian cooking, you know what to do here. Otherwise, heat the oil and chenna dal until the dal is reddish. Add mustard seeds and fennel seeds (I think) and curry leaves.
With in a few seconds add cut onions. Use more onions for sweetness and content. Let them brown
Peel, Cut and add the potato. Fry it until it softens.
Add the can of peas after draining the water. Fry them for a 5 minutes or so
Add the tomato sauce and hot water. Boil on medium for 10 to 15 minutes. Add turmeric, salt and pepper.
I suppose you can add a couple of fresh peppers for spice
Tastes very good with long grained basmati rice. Roti would be my second choice

It is odd what a 1 year old likes. As of now the hands down favorite food of my 1 year old son is "Sauteed Mushrooms" that my wife cooks. He seem to chomp down an infinite supply of these. He seem to be OK since he has been doing this for a couple of weeks now. The baby food that I buy from a near publix, I must have thrown out more in the garbage than he ate.

Desperation
Apparently it takes about 30 minutes after you stopped eating for your body to notice that it is not hungry. The hormone responsible for hunger is called "ghrelin". Apparently it takes that much time for this hormone levels to subside. Looks like a 100 calorie snacks 30 minutes prior to dinner may do the trick.

Take baby carrots, broccoli, and sugar snaps and saute them with olive oil, garlic paste, ginger paste, cilantro paste (all from tubes), adobo, tony chiceros, and a bit of butter. Goes great by itself, or rice. Carrots and sugar snaps give it a sweet taste. This is not a compromise in taste at all. These veggies taste really good,
