How to organize Google Drive?

Goal/Issue?
I don't want to replicate large files on machines that don't need to have them
It may be a security thing that some files are NOT replicated on servers (Ex: No need for my personal folders on my personal laptop to be replicated on my shared servers shared by admins)
But every server needs a backup
Some folders needs shared
Minimize network traffic

Say I have 5 machines M1, M2, M3, M4, M5

Approach then
M1_only: This is dedicated to M1 only. No other machines google drive will include this. This directory typically contains backups.
Do this for all machines that need this. Name them by machine name
Then only network traffic is between M1 and the Google server.
M1_M3_Shared: This shared between only M1 and M3. For example I might want my personal development laptop to share some upload files with my deployment server.
