On Azure subscriptions
satya - 8/20/2019, 1:42:28 PM
I have created a new subscription in addition to what I already have
what I have I use it for hosting a knowledgebase. I am the only user
I wanted to use a test subscription so I can collaborate with colleagues. SO I have created a new subscription using the "ADD" on subscriptions palette.
I was able to create a new one but it is named the same as the one before "Pay-as-you-go".
satya - 8/20/2019, 1:43:46 PM
Looks like I can change the names.
I have left the old one as is as I don't have anything impacted in the renaming process. Just didn't want to take a chance.
So I have renamed the new one.
I have renamed wrong first.
So, spell correctly and get your subscription name right before you do anything else

Next goal is to add additional users.
I could not find any buttons on the subscription screen.
satya - 8/20/2019, 1:45:54 PM
By default it did not both subscriptions in the portal
It showed only the original one
I had to use "change directory" and select both subscriptions to see both
It is not clear when I relogin next time what it will show
There is a danger to have them both show up as I won't be too sure which subscription I am working with for inner screens.
will sure find out

I have asked a question about this on MSDN forums
satya - 8/20/2019, 2:43:31 PM
Summary of that question
How do I add an existing microsoft personal account to an azure subscription that I own?
I have an azure account which is logged in through my "microsoft personal" account.
there are 2 subscriptions in this azure account.
One of these accounts i want to give access to a friend of mine who has a personal email that is tied to a "microsoft account" (or live id). Say this is [email protected]
how do I make the user [email protected] as one of the users on my subscription so that
[email protected] can login using his normal microsoft account credentials and I don't have to send him a userid/password.
