Progression of another malaise

January 2013 is not an entirely good month
Lot of people got sick. some with flu. Most with that looked like a flu but apparently medically not. Aunts, uncles, kids, and if could speak dogs and kids, and sure birds as well fell ill.
satya - 2/4/2013 11:27:40 AM
It about 2 weeks now
started with a sensation of a speck in my throat. No other symptoms prior to that other than a few late nights prior. When provided with kids late nights rarely rhyme with fun.
A touch of cough a bit of sneezing but the throat very quickly went down to the stomach. Sinus like headache.
lasted for 3 days. 2 to 3 advil morning and evening. But got really worse at night. It was at its peak on the 4th day.
visited the doctor on the 5th. Got a confirmation that it is not flu. was told if it were flow i won't be out of bed. lot of tea. No cold water.
Got anti-biotics if it gets worse. Kept them in store. if needed. didnt use them. lungs are good.
Got better for 2 days. eased up and drank a bit cold water and drinks and a touch of sugar. i guess that is a splurge!!
And this time cough is back. Cold seems in the chest. Not stop cough. Took some triaminic day time. Stopped the cough. but weakness. Took 2 advils this morning. back to hot tea like a dog with tail between the legs.

It could be an asinine coincidence!!! To recall I bought some dark chocolate in the interim few days I was getting better. That seem to make the throat itch may have started the cycle all over again!!

Another day of cough
satya - 2/5/2013 4:06:36 PM
It is as if someone took my chest and rolled it up into a stone and put it on coals
..and returned it to my body. Every time it heaves, and it heaves a lot, my organs are getting pressed..

Here is what one said about chocolate
Ahh, chocolate. Chocolate comes from the same mountains that produce the most addictive substances in the world. It is a strong stimulant and was used by the Mayans in their religious rituals in order to see the future. Not a drug you say? Try to feel unhappy while you eat a dark chocolate bar from Belgium. It?s just not possible. Scientists say that chocolate contains the same chemicals that the body produces when you are in love. It also contains caffeine?.and good amounts of it. Many bars also contain nuts. This combo is a no-no for an irritated throat. You may not be able to give this one up, but avoid it like the plague while your throat is inflamed.

Lesson: Almost ALL foods are bad for your itching throat. This is what is known.
A few odd ball paleolithic things like lemon and ginger seem to be tolerated (Mind you: Not a cure!!)
I am usually an optimist. But when it comes to this itchy/coughy throat count me the top pessimist!
satya - 2/11/2013 9:31:03 AM
So it is monday! Any better?
yes. but there is more to it.
satya - 2/11/2013 9:31:41 AM

That 5 days have passed may have done it too. who knows what may have worked. I hope i am not jinxing it by believing it is gone.
satya - 2/11/2013 9:35:26 AM

And maximum allowed dosage of Advil to remove any inflamation.
satya - 2/21/2013 11:04:49 AM
Today it is 2/21. That is about 20 days....still under the weather!!!
